Qualifications

Having inherited his psychic abilities from his mother, it was only a matter of time before Read took up his calling. It was in the mid seventies, in Washington, D.C., that he stood in his apartment living room, quietly assessing his life. He was in a good place and felt he'd achieved what he'd been wanting. Now what was he going to do? At the time, he had a good job, money in the bank, a partner, two cats, and a life that he thought was good. For a moment, his mind went blank, and in that void, he heard in his left ear, "Go to your tarot cards." The odd thing was that although he'd moved around quite a bit in D.C., losing some things, misplacing others, he ALWAYS knew where the cards were, though he hadn't used them for the last four years. In the past, he'd done some readings for friends at a party, and certain information about each person came to light, information that they wished had not surfaced. Not wanting to lose his friends, he decided to put aside the cards for awhile. He was now being told that it was time to pick them up again. So, he went to the closet where the cards were, took them off the shelf, and this simple act started his spiritual and psychic journey, which, in some ways, changed his life quite drastically. Old friends fell away, new ones came in, and he grew in knowledge and experience. This process was not, by any means, an easy one for him to undertake. As a child, he'd spent much time alone in the North Carolina mountains living in his imagination. As he grew, he experienced various psychic phenomena, which he says didn't frighten him (too much, that is). He'd always had an interest in the paranormal, but that fascination had begun to wane over the years, until he started studying the cards again. In the early eighties, he partnered with a very high level spiritual Medium. Through sessions with him, he met several spirit guides who are with him still. From them he learned much about the spirit world and psychic matters, and experienced some very interesting, and frightening experiences. The scary ones taught him the importance of watching what you say, think and feel at all times.

Experience

For over thirty years (sixteen professionally) he's read cards, providing accurate psychic guidance for clients across the US in areas that include: D.C, Florida, California, New Mexico and in Chicago. He estimates over 1,000 clients have benefited from his services. He's conducted readings on psychic phone lines, privately, and in public, performing at party venues, and at one major Chicago hotel, where he's regularly appeared for the last six years. Clients from all walks of life have sought his advice, including: lawyers, educators, actors, artists, students, politicians, law enforcement officials, military personnel, etc. Read has earned his certification from the American Association for Professional Psychics, and throughout the years, he's gathered expertise in many spiritual and metaphysical areas through organizations that include: Builders of The Adytum, The Rosicrucians, and The Berkeley Psychic Institute. He's also a qualified horary practitioner, having studied with Olivia Barclay, the celebrated English horary astrologer.

Read is a shining Leo, with an Aquarius moon, and a Virgo rising sign. In numerology, his life path is a three, the path of the communicator. Imagine that! He lives in Phoenix, Arizona, with his partner and three cats that he spoils beyond belief, confessing he wouldn't have it any other way! He appreciates quiet pastimes, such as reading and studying, loves old vintage movies, enjoys the theatre, and small excursions in Arizona.
